Caroline Dawson survived the town gossips who whispered behind her back. She survived the slow death of her husband, Roscoe Lancaster, the richest man in the county and her senior by three decades. But she feared she might not survive Rink Lancaster, her husband's son. Years before she married, when she and Rink were teens, he had introduced Caroline to her first tremulous taste of love - and then broke her heart. Now Rink is back. He says he wants to settle his father's estate. But driven by a storm of emotions as undeniable as before and more dangerous than ever, what he really wants is to settle the score with Caroline.

Enjoyed reading this book the second time. There are a lot of words that are misspelled throughout this book and I had to go back to reread to gain meaning in the sentence. Someone should proofread better!
  • Enough With The Sex Already!

As a long time Sandra Brown fan, I snatched this audiobook up when I saw it was on sale. What a disappointment. The plot and characters get lost in the sex. Did I say sex? It is one over-the-top sex fest. I was so frustrated by chapter 30, I deleted the entire thing. I don't understand this side of Sandra Brown, as most of her more recent stories are so richly woven and completely engrossing. For whatever reason, this is a NO-GO on my list. I'll be more careful next time.
